Hive mind and vaccines

The free market is the ultimate "hive mind". The term "hive mind" has multiple definitions, some negative, some positive. I am using it in a positive sense in that the free market is the ultimate in the collective expression of individual market decisions or choices.

The free market works, when it is free. The market in the United States is increasingly less free, especially for the product known as vaccines. 

The market for vaccines ceased to be free in 1986 when the National Childhood Injury Vaccine Act was made law. This law provides total immunity (pun intended) to virtually anyone connected with vaccination - from nurse/doctor who orders it to the manufacturer and those who recommend them (based on research that is, at best, gerry-rigged to provide a pre-determined outcome - see #CDCwhistleblower for starters, but follow up with Poul Thorson, watch the documentary Vaxxed, look up Simpsonwood, they Wyeth memo, read the drug inserts before consenting to vaccination, check out the Merck whistleblower lawsuit about the mumps portion of the MMR).  Because of this law the manufacturers of vaccines have no reason to make their product better or safer. Because of this law doctors and nurses who vaccinate have no compelling reason to do more than pass out a VIS (Vaccine Information Statement - provided by the CDC) to think they have provided informed consent (pro tip - this is not sufficient for informed consent!)

Since "vaccines are magical and not at all broken" no one believes anyone who reports they were injured by a vaccine - and the "vaccine court" created by the 1986 NCIV is adversarial for those who seek redress through it - if they get in before the statue of limitations! 

Since "vaccines are magical and not at all broken" those who are devoted to them get "deer in the headlight" looks when they are asked reasonable questions about this downright mythical product. 

Since "vaccines are magical and not at all broken" those who do question their safety and/or efficacy are treated as pariahs. If they are healthcare professionals their jobs/careers are threatened (Dr. Sears in California is feeling the heat from the Vaccine Jihad these days). If it were a more generic healthcare issue you could refer to this as being "Semmelweised" but since it is about vaccines the more contemporary term would be "Wakefielded". I think he is a modern day Semmelweis. I hope he has a better end, he surely deserves it, and did not deserve what happened to him because he followed the facts and asked a reasonable question. (pro tip: read the actual study first - yes, the one that was retracted by The Lancet. pro tip: the study NEVER suggested a link between vaccines and autism). 

Like many, I USED TO believe everything I was taught because I gave my educators the benefit of the doubt - I trusted them to tell me/teach me factual, truthful information. I am no longer so naive, nor so trusting.

Like many, I USED TO believe vaccines were "safe and effective". No longer. Like most who now question vaccines I started out "pro-vaccine".

Now I **think** our knowledge of vaccines is woefully incomplete and inaccurate. Now I **think** and believe that a starting point is that all should be free to make decisions about receipt of this product with total freedom. No one is obliged to take risks for someone else's benefit - or if this risk is taken it must be entirely voluntary, and use of vaccines is.not.voluntary.

If vaccines are as "safe and effective" as we are told by our overlords that they are then people will (individually) **demand** their use of their own free will - no need for mandates, coercion, manipulation, or fear based decision-making. If vaccines are as awesome as their advocates insist they are there would be no need for a law shielding anyone associated with vaccines from liability. If vaccines were "safe and effective" there would be no need to link their receipt with participation in school or work as people would willingly and voluntarily roll up their sleeves to get them and would willingly fork over their hard-earned dollars to pay for them. 

We are designed to live in freedom - and that is why the free market has brought more prosperity to more people than any other economic model every tried. Like anything else in this sin-sick world it is not perfect (because the people using it are not perfect) - but it is less imperfect than the other models that have been put into use (like Socialism or Communism or a mixture of all three of them together). Because a free market follows or mirrors how we are designed it works better than the other models that are more tightly controlled from the top down. The free market works from the bottom up - individual people make economic choices (including in health care) and good products/services grow from demand. If vaccines were wonderful this would be true for them as well. But the current "demand" for vaccination is nearly completely artificial. It is construed by force, coercion, and manipulation. 

I think it could also be argued that vaccines go against our design physiologically - but that is for a different post. 

The "hive mind" needs to rise up and speak with one voice about the many very valid questions surrounding vaccination. Perhaps then we may regain a greater degree of freedom regarding this medical intervention - and perhaps, hopefully, this will spill over into other areas as well. Ultimately, though, freedom comes through, and because of, Jesus Christ for it is He Who designed us to live in freedom.   

Testimonials of vaccine injury

There are still many who deny the reality of "The holocaust" - a satanic event that occurred in World War II led by Hitler in an attempt to wipe out (primarily) Jews (but also few other demographics). The Shoah Foundation is located at USC and has a Visual History project documenting the lives and experiences of those who survived the death camps. (This project has been expanding to document other instances of attempts at genocide). 

The team behind the documentary Vaxxed has been touring the country by bus since the movie was released in early 2016. One of the things Polly Tommey has been doing is filming interviews/testimonials of vaccine injury. They are creating an archive of vaccine injury - of health events that are by and large denied by nearly the entire mainstream medical community. 

After their testimony is recorded most also sign the Vaxxed bus. There are **thousands** of names on this bus. This are just those that have chosen to be interviewed - I have little doubt they represent many more who have not chosen to be interviewed or who cannot be interviewed because the Vaxxed team has not made it to their location. They'll need to figure out how to record names once there is no more room (and it won't be long before that happens). Here is the link to follow them on Periscope. 

Please understand that most of these testimonies are contemporary - many are recorded with the affected children by their side. These are not people bemoaning past history and none that I have listened to are whiners. Many are coping with devastating health issues in either themselves or their children. Every now and again there are healthcare professionals who screw up the courage to publically say what must not every be said or you will pay dearly - that vaccines are not safe and have serious and significant side effects. That at the least people should be free to decline vaccination without repercussion and that vaccines should not be mandated. 

I admire Polly's (and the entire team's) emotional fortitude. It can't be easy to listen to this time and again. God bless them for all that they are doing!  

The Truth About Vaccines - Docu Series

It has long been my habit to cast a wide net in the search for truth and then evaluate what is caught - keeping what measures up and tossing the rest. This mindset is what led me to question both the safety (primarily) and efficacy (secondarily) of vaccines. I used to accept vaccination because I had been taught they are "safe and effective" - and I trusted the authorities who were teaching this. I gave them the benefit of the doubt (both the teaching authorities and the subject of vaccines). No longer. At best I know think vaccines may have efficacy (thought I am not convinced we really know what their true efficacy actually is) but I am increasingly skeptical of their safety regardless of any efficacy they may have. 

The Truth About Vaccines is an on-line docu-series that will be starting on April 12th.  It is free to watch (though I am sure they will be selling packages of the talks at some point). I hope to watch, though I have found with these types of things there is far more content than I can watch while it is available for free (no doubt this is a technique to increase sales - I can hardly blame them, this is a somewhat free market ... an economic model which I support).

The only absolute source of truth is Jesus Christ - any and every element of truth flows first and foremost from and through Him. The information provided by this series should be evaluated for truthfulness as well.

Vaccines and sex

As a christian I've frequently considered the difference between irony (what a non-biblical worldview offers) and paradox (a seeming contradiction that is resolved when an essential but not always obvious piece of information is apprehended). 

The culture in which I live (in the USA) has reached a level of degredation that virtually any perversion, especially sexual perversion, is lauded as a "right" and anyone who advocates the limits of natural law (like christians with a biblical worldview) is shamed and ridiculed (and their business is shut down or they are fired). 

So on the basis of personal autonomy a person can do anything sexually - we have total freedom to use our bodies in nearly any way sexually regardless of the damage this does to us personally or collectively as we have rampant epidemics of sexual disease. 

But the irony is that we are informed by those who are pro-vaccine that we are to abdicate our personal autonomy and bodily integrity by receiving any and every vaccine the overlords determine is necessary "for the greater good" regardless of efficacy (or lack thereof) and regardless of risk (given questionable benefit). There is very little reason to believe the un-vaccinated are spreading disease - and indeed, it may well be the recently vaccinated who are shedding (and could thus spread) disease (pertussis - a killed bacterial vaccine is a model of this, but this is especially true of live viral vaccines like rotavirus, measles, and chickenpox, among others). 

Spread disease with impunity by having sex - no problem. At least you must consent to sex, and if your consent is violated, the perpetrator of the rape/assault is arrested. Informed consent for vaccines is sketchy at best, and the "consent" such as it is, could hardly be considered genuine when receipt of vaccines is linked with participation in school and/or work - this is a rather heavy-handed coercion and manipulation thereby obliterating one of the primary and important elements of consent in that it must be freely given. 

Another irony is the desperate search for more and more vaccines, especially those that target infections that are spread through sex. Currently we have Hepatitis B and HPV vaccines. I know there has been at least one clinical trial for a Herpes vaccine. Gonorrhea and Chlamydia are two of the most common STDs - I would not be surprised if there are vaccines being developed to target these as well. 

It makes no sense whatsoever to be vaccinating newborns for Hepatitis B - especially when their mother has been tested during pregnancy and does not have the virus. Even if mom is Hep B positive it should be up to the parents if their child gets the vaccine as receipt of the vaccine and/or Hep B Immune Globulin is not guaranteed protection for the child.  Giving a newborn Hep B vaccine when the mother is HBSAG negative is all risk, no reward. Newborns are not injecting drugs nor having sex - they have zero risk of contracting this disease when mom is Hep B negative. By the time they are old enough to consider having sex (or doing drugs) whatever risk reduction provided by the vaccine may well have worn off.

Here's the irony - no one wants to tell people the easiest way to avoid these infections. Reserve sex for marriage (marriage being defined as one man, one woman until death parts them). Uganda implemented the A/B/C strategy, telling people to Abstain from sex until married, Be faithful to their spouse, and use Condoms as a last resort - recognizing natural law and respecting it - and also respecting peoples basic intelligence, expecting them to recognize common sense. It's ironic that people presumed to be some of our best and brightest (because they are in leadership and setting policy, or because they are "scientists") pursue strategies that are high-tech and expensive and complicated while refusing to consider simpler, less expensive strategies first. 

The paradox is that many perceive christians as being less free because of biblical restrictions on sexual activity - yet the exact opposite is true. 

If Bill Gates wants to help the most people live he should abandon vaccines and instead set about providing clean drinking water and basic sanitation.  I'm sure he could find a way to make money doing that as well.

We are designed to live in freedom, yet we have confused what it means to be free and have exchanged liberty for license. And as a result we are less free.
 

"Vaccines are magical and not at all broken"

Most of my time in the car I am listening to either podcasts or talk radio - they are God's gifts to commuters. In my morning commute I listen to the previous night's broadcast of the Steve Deace show. He discusses politics with a Christian, biblical worldview - it has become one of my favorites as the host and regular team have a great sense of humor and penchant for snark. 

They are lovers of truth and as such are aware of the difference between "SCIENCE!" (the idol) and real, genuine science whose purpose is discovering information that is both factual and truthful (truth being far more than mere facts - but facts are absolutely part of truth). As a christian I know that there is not one element of truth that does not flow first and foremost from Jesus Christ - He is the source of all truth.  

One of the regular team is Todd Erzen (@DeaceOnline) and the title of this particular post is a riff off of a snarky, scathingly sarcastic quip he says about journalism, which is his professional background ("Journalism is magical and not at all broken"). I linked to a piece he wrote "Villany, Virtue, and Vaccination" on a previous post (Feb 3, 2015) - the link to that piece is now broken, I will post an update if/when I can get a functioning link. 

The thought that "vaccines are magical and not at all broken" or that vaccines are "safe and effective" would fall within the perview of the statement that a lie repeated often enough is believed to be true (attributed to Goebbels, Williams James, Hitler and/or Lenin).

This past Friday (Jan 28, 2017) he (Erzen) brought up the issue of vaccines (starting at the 1hr:14min mark). It was in the context of "The Deace Group", a take-off of "The McLaughlin Group" where they are making predictions for the coming year. Mr. Erzen is not very optimistic of the odds that the issue of vaccination will get the hearing it deserves regardless of President Trump's views on it - and he has expressed skepticism regarding the flu vaccine in particular and concern that vaccines may be contributing to autism as well. Erzen stated he was glad that Trump is looking into it (as am I). 

At one point (1hr:27min mark) the show's producer,  Aaron McIntire (@DeaceProducer) poses the question "If you could head up any scientific study, what would it be?" - Erzen re-visits the issue of vaccines stating he would do a comprehensive study on the use of vaccination. At this point the Aaron expresses an interest in following up with Erzen for a more in depth discussion about the issue of vaccines. I hope they have this conversation. 
It is clear Erzen's interest in and knowledge of vaccination is not superficial but he does 
not disclose what motivates his interest in vaccines.

I hope Todd Erzen's comments about vaccines caused a few more people to have a greater curiosity about this issue and will move them to give them a much deeper examination. Even better I hope this evaluation will lead more to demand better science (not "SCIENCE!") from our public health officials and even more importantly greater freedom in medical decision making around vaccination. 

Personally, I would refer to greater freedom in the use of vaccines as a return to normalcy - the standard is freedom to decide what, if anything, is injected into your body. Our current state of affairs is a serious, and dangerous deviation from what should be the norm - being able to chose a medical intervention, or refuse it, without consequence to any other facet of your life.  

Vaccine SAFETY Commission - it's not just about autism!

President Trump has floated the idea of a federal commission to study the safety of vaccines. Those who think vaccines are safe and effective should be embracing this idea - because they are so convinced the science is on their side. What is there to hide? What could there be to dread about any inquiry? 

In discussing vaccine safety the discussion always seems to go to autism. That's understandable since it is the most common and obvious "coincidence" associated with vaccines. 

But if this commission actually comes to fruition I hope they don't get sidetracked into only considering autism. That would be a big, juicy black hole and vaccine proponents can only hope that is what ends up happening. 

Vaccine safety is not just about autism. 

What does need to happen is a long, close up look (think high colonic) at the CDC. 
  - This needs to start with a subpeona issued to Dr. Bill Thompson. 
  - Then they can move on to examining the issue of conflict of interest in the  
    ACIP (Advisory  Committee on Immunization Practices - it is nested within the CDC). 
  - Perhaps they would begin extradition proceedings on Poul Thorson (you know, the 
    former CDC "researcher" who is on the FBI's most wanted list for fraud). 
  - Hopefully they will not overlook the Merck whistleblower case (still ongoing). 

RFK Jr has lots of name recognition due to his high profile family and his own work on environmental issues. I think it would be better to appoint someone else, as RFK Jr is known to be concerned about mercury in the environment, mostly because of coal, but mercury in vaccines (and yes, it is still in vaccines, though at lower amounts than before) could well become yet another rabbit-hole. 

Vaccine safety is not just about mercury or thimerosal. 

Autism and mercury can function as shiny objects, as "squirrels" that serve to distract from other issues that are at least as important (some of which I have listed above) and should not be overlooked. 

Here are some others: 
 - Personal/medical freedom (and lack thereof in regards to vaccination)
 - Informed Consent (and lack thereof in regards to vaccination)
 - Huge gaping holes in science around vaccination (ie: the recommended 
   schedule has never been tested - for children or adults - and this schedule 
   does nothing but grow!)
 - The use of pseudo-science with vaccines testing (using other vaccines as 
   a faux-placebo rather than a **real** placebo like saline). 
 - The missing science on vaccinations: multiple studies comparing the 
   short and long term health outcomes of vaccinated and non-vaccinated 
   people (with the definition of non-vaccinated meaning having never received
   any vaccines at all). 
 - Vaccines and our military (Gulf War Syndrome)

Apparently Congress is not too enthusiastic about this idea. I wonder if that might be related to the pharmaceutical lobby and the cash they dole out? 

I'll be surprised if this comes to fruition. I'll be even more surprised if it does more than issue a perfunctory report and close up shop. We deserve so much better from our representatives. Let us hope a vaccine SAFETY commission has the power of law to force the law-makers to stop crafting laws and regulations that crush freedom. Let us hope a vaccine SAFETY commission will bring more transparency and act as a catalyst for better, stronger science that will provide the information we need to make medical decisions with greater confidence. Let us hope they conclude no one is obligated to take part in a medical intervention if they do not want to - that when an individual sacrifices themselves for others it must be voluntary, not coerced or manipulated.

I took my cat to the vet today ... no aluminum in his vaccine!

I took my cat to the vet today (and let me give a shout out to North DeKalb Vet Clinic!) 

It was time for his yearly exam, and of course, as required by law, rabies vaccine. I discussed with his vet how I would prefer to opt out by testing his antibody level, but sadly, this is not allowed in DeKalb County, GA. Even if it were an option it is (for me) prohibitively expensive, as it costs about $400 to get the antibody level. 

However, my cat's vet uses Purevax as the rabies vaccine. He made a point of saying it is not adjuvanated with aluminum. And he was emphatic that he REFUSES to use any vaccine with aluminum in it - because of the side effects caused by the aluminum (ie: tumors at the injection site). 
  
Let that sink in: HE REFUSES TO USE ANY VACCINE WITH ALUMINUM IN IT!! 

Yet in vaccines for humans there are multiple vaccines with aluminum and not a care in the world that there might be undesired side effects (well, vaccines are safe and effective after all!) - but if a person is in a hospital receiving IV fluid or medication, or on hyperalimentation (being fed through an intravenous port) - tracking how much aluminum they are receiving and limiting it is all too important.  

If the FDA says it is not safe to inject >25mcg (25 micrograms) of aluminum/day (for an infant), then why would it be safe to inject 500mcg (.5 milligrams) into a newborn on the day of birth (the Hepatitis B vaccine) - especially if this newborn's mother does not have Hepatitis B?! 

In the bizarro world of human vaccines, no ingredient is unsafe, no amount is too much. But we have to protect our animals from the very same substances? 

None of the above is rational, and we deserve far better. If we can make vaccines better and safer for our animals I am confident we can do the same for humans. The best scenario is one in which the product is safer, and also effective - and where people can determine for themselves whether they will or will not use the product.
